Fremont Jewelry Student's capture creative energy!
Introduction
Mr. Ralph has been teaching Art classes for 20 years. The last thirteen years he has been teaching Jewelry Making. He earned an A.A. in Graphic Design from Ricks College , and a B.F.A. in Drawing/Painting from BYU. He also earned a M.F.A. in Studio Art from BYU Provo. He taught as an adjunct faculty member at BYU during his work on his M.F.A. and then for four years after recieving his degree. He taught at the Salt Lake Art Institute. He also was an Art Specialist for Nebo School District for a short period of time. In 2002 he began teaching for Weber Shcool District. He taught at Weber High for 9 years, where he taught Jewelry and Art. He presently teaches in the Art department at Fremont High where he focuses on Jewelry making. He also teaches Art 110 Online for BYU Idaho where he also oversees as a Teaching Group Leader seven other instuctors in that program.
Jewelry Making
Jewelry Making is something that anyone can do no matter what the artistic skill level. This class may be one of the most enjoyable classes you can take at Fremont High. Creating something of your own design is very satisfying. One of the benefits of the jewelry class is that you will come away from the experience with some of your own creations. Jewelry classes are definately enjoyable,..there is work involved, but it is so fun you don't seem to notice.

Jewelry I
Jewelry I is an introduction to jewelry making. We introduce wire wrap, sheet soldering, plastics, lost wax casting, injection molding, wire work, brazing, bezel setting, and gem setting
Jewelry II
Jewelry II is a continuation of Jewelry I. We introduce some more advanced projects and work on higher quality jewelry pieces that can be entered into shows and competitions.
